Halloween has come and gone… Fun as it was, its time for one of the most delicious times of the year… THANKSGIVING!!! The candies yams, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn-on-the-cob, collard greens, stuffing, ham, and all the variation that comes with living in South Florida ~ and lastly the most succulent turkey for days on end… Ahhh… just thinking about makes my mouth water. We will keep you in the loop with the latest in Hollywood, FL. Please feel free to let us in on any underground action that needs to be exposed to the masses, like who makes the best turkey dinner, or pumpkin pies… or perhaps Thanksgiving specials that need to be heard. We are here waiting for the oven to go, “DING!” so just let us know the goods. Happy EARLY Turkey Day!

MegaByte Cafe took me completely by surprise... I was truly expecting an about average cyber-café, but what I found was not that at all. When you first walk in you notice two things… the bar and the artwork all around. This place was hooked up nicely. A really good lunch menu with an assortment of appetizers and munchies, I nice selection of hyper-ice cold beer, coffee, and tea, and of course some online access while enjoying your surroundings. Just when I thought this place was just about cool enough, I get to the back and find a band setting up on loft designed for a 4-5 person band… Need I say more? Just check it out. Its well worth it.

Are you drinking on a budget? Or maybe you're just trying to get through yet another Wednesday without strangling someone. Coyotes Bar in Hollywood has a great way to calm those semi-homicidal tendencies. $3 shots and $5 Long Island Iced Tea go a long way toward getting those barking dogs in your head to calm down for a bit. Shot specials rotate, presumably depending on what the bartenders feel like making, but it's hard to go wrong when the pros are pouring them for you.
